Accelerating Career Moves at the National Transition Event 2026

OpenWorks attended the National Transition Event 2026, hosted by Mission Motorsport on 2nd March 2026, an event connecting organisations with the Armed Forces community.

Following our successful attendance at the National Transition Event in 2024, we were honoured to return to the home of British motorsport, Silverstone Circuit, for the flagship event.

This year was a first for our team to exhibit in the recruitment zone, which allowed us to engage with Service Leavers, Veterans, their spouses and partners, and Reservists about the exciting opportunities available at our growing site in Prudhoe, Northumberland. We were also able to provide practical, tailored careers advice and answer any questions the Armed Forces community had around transitioning from military to civilian life.

Attendees to our booth had the chance to explore some of our dynamic systems, Vision Flex and Vision Pace, and to learn more about OpenWorks’ world-leading autonomous technology for defence and surveillance applications.

An exciting moment for our team was the chance to experience the Troops’ Track Day, which saw them take to the renowned Silverstone Circuit alongside those who have served.

At OpenWorks Engineering, we welcome Service Leavers, Veterans and their families to join our team. We already employ a number of veterans from the British Army and Royal Air Force (RAF) across various departments. The transferrable skills which people from the Armed Forces bring, complement our values and beliefs; we are one team, we are empowered and we do amazing things with passionate people.
