OpenWorks will collaborate with Walaris to integrate the AirScout AI module as an alternative option to the globally deployed and proven OpenWorks SkyAI.
Building on a highly configurable approach to system design, the move extends options available to end-users of Vision Flex who have differing areas of focus in relation to classification and tracking. Vision Flex is OpenWorks’ most widely recognised product, in use across the globe. As a modular system, Vision Flex is capable of integrating a range of electro-optical systems, third-party primary detectors and effectors. Collaboration with Walaris enhances this further, fusing software systems to support customer requirements.
OpenWorks has offered its own powerful SkyAI module to global customers since 2018 and will continue to do so, but also prioritises modularity to allow customers to create combinations of hardware and software. Collaboration will make it possible to integrate Walaris’ computer vision AI, sensor data fusion and GUI on systems from OpenWorks without an additional server, reducing the logistics burden of requirements for hardware, space and power. AirScout from Walaris is designed for processing at the edge, locally fusing data from deployed sensors and running billions of computations in real-time to identify known patterns or objects. It has been widely deployed by customers across Europe and North America.
“Collaboration with Walaris will further the utility of our offering, allowing customers who already use their software to deploy products from OpenWorks. It also gives Walaris access to our full range of optical systems. We’ve have a strong working relationship with Walaris since we started this journey in 2023, and we look forward to further aligning our capabilities for the benefit of end-users.” – James Cross, Chief Commercial Officer, OpenWorks Engineering.
“Walaris and OpenWorks already share a strong relationship. The seamless integration of AirScout into Vision Flex deepens our technical collaboration, empowering customers with the flexibility to choose the tools best suited to their requirements and creating a powerful combination from which many end users will benefit.” – Kyle Meloney, Chief Executive Officer, Walaris
Visitors to DSEI 2025 can find Vision Flex with integrated AirScout on Walaris’ booth S9-375. OpenWorks will be exhibiting on N6-160.
Adding to the highly modular and mission specific nature of configurations available for Vision Pace, OpenWorks is also displaying a variant with its own sensor suite fitted to a ‘Rapid Deployment Kit’.
