OpenWorks Strengthens Leadership Team with Internal Promotions

We’ve strengthened our leadership team with the addition of a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief People and Brand Officer (CPBO) to our board.

Over the last 12 months, our teams have grown significantly, bringing together some of the best talent from across our region and further afield to meet increasing global demand from customers and end-users. Our teams share a common purpose: developing and delivering  world-class autonomous optics to protect NATO and its allies.

The new appointments reflect OpenWorks’ focus on furthering engineering excellence and the importance of its brand and culture as the company grows.

Our new CTO will strengthen  product innovation, bringing  long-term focus to the continued development of our technology. Protecting our people, culture and brand as we grow is equally important. Our new CPBO will ensure these remain at the heart of our business as we continue to scale.

We’re particularly pleased that both roles have been filled by existing members of the OpenWorks team. Andrew Teasdale, previously our Chief Engineer, steps into the role of CTO, while Nicola Irving, previously Head of Strategic Marketing and Communications, becomes our first CPBO.

“I’ve been fortunate to spend nearly a decade building alongside this brilliant team. Stepping up to the CTO role at such an exciting time for OpenWorks is a genuine privilege. Giving dedicated board-level focus to Engineering as well as our Intelligence and Autonomy developments will help ensure our technical ambition matches our long-term growth, while sustaining the culture of excellence that enables us to consistently deliver world-class products.”

“Our brand and our culture are what makes us unique. They’re the driving forces in our approach to innovation, how we solve problems and how we interact with each other and with our partners. I’m incredibly proud to step into the role of CPBO to give focus to our brand and culture and to empower our talented marketing, communications and people teams as we grow and evolve.”
