The Openworks' team is made up of highly dynamic and qualified engineers with experience across a number of industries. In addition, it has dedicated business and financial talent to support it’s undertakings. OpenWorks thrives on energetic and vibrant engineering which has been at the core of the company since its foundation.
Chris has delivered integrated technical projects as an engineer, a manager and a company director across multiple industry sectors which made him the ideal person to lead this dynamic company.
After graduating from Trinity College, Cambridge, he immediately started his career in Engineering. He now applies his mechanical, electrical and software skills as a Chartered Engineer to successfully complete high profile projects.
Outside engineering, Chris' main passions are the great outdoors - rock climbing and ski-touring fill all his available spare time.
Neil's efforts focus on providing the engineering team with the support to complete projects on time with full quality.
With nearly 20 years of mechanical system design experience, Neil is capable of both managing focused teams and complex supply chains.
Neil has designed complex armoured systems for the defence industry and has managed prototype,low and highrate production projects.
Neil is married with 3 children and when not spending time with his family enjoys competitively racing motorcycles in UK Rally Raid events.
Along with taking the lead on the technical standards throughout the engineering process, Alex enjoys getting into the detail of control system development, applying his 1st class degree in Aeronautical Engineering with non-linear control of autonomous UAV systems.
Alex has previously worked for four companies operating in the Oil and Gas and defence industries.
In his spare time, Alex goes on mountaineering adventures around the world and when at home, battles his brother on the squash court.
James takes the lead on sales and marketing and business development. He thrives on engaging with new and existing customers to ensure expectations are always exceeded.
A background of mechanical engineering and continuing to be part of the OpenWorks product development team guarantees engineering remains the focus during customer interaction.
Outside of his professional life James has a passion for anything automotive. He continues to build and race his own cars and has more recently found a love of Triumph motorcycles.
Roland joined the OpenWorks' team to keep a focus on sound financial operation.
He has overall control over the company's financial accounting function and ensures that the engineering team has the means to support customer projects while continuing to develop class leading products.
Roland has experience with engineering financial management, with the discipline to keep projects within budget.
Beyond his professional career Roland has a love for motorsport and all things automotive, with successful exploits in a variety of British racing championships.

Previously head of corporate finance at KPMG, Andrew joined Quantum Pharmaceutical as finance director. Following a management buyout, he progressed to CEO and led the region�s largest ever IPO on AIM. Andrew now applies his finance, strategic and managerial skills across a broad range of companies through a series of non-executive roles.
Tony Trapp MBE
Dr Trapp has been instrumental in the formation and success of the subsea technology industry in North East England having been a co-founder of Soil Machine Dynamics (SMD), and the founder of IHC Engineering Business. More recently Dr Trapp has become a leading figure in the North East offshore industry through his executive chairman role at OSBIT Ltd.
Terry Courtney is a financial director with a long history in the global defence industry. Taking a small specialist combat engineering firm and helping to expand its product portfolio and customer base around the world, with revenues above £200m a year. He now works with a number of engineering firms in the UK.
