OpenWorks Engineering will be attending the upcoming CORE testing event in the UK

CORE is a five-day R&D initiative focused on advancing AI-driven CUAS.

Key members of OpenWorks’ research and development team will be present, with a primary focus on optimising the performance of the new Vision Guard system.

Following the success of the previous three CORE events, the UK National Protective Security Authority (NPSA) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will host another event from Monday, October 7th, to Friday, October 11th, 2024. This event will focus on using AI to detect, categorize, or identify UAS threats.

CORE is a collaborative environment for companies with C-UAS technologies at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 and above to experiment, research, and develop their capabilities. It provides a community-driven approach to research and development, enabling C-UAS companies to collaborate, engage in two-way communication with the UK Government and international partners, and access the expertise of NPSA and the Cross-Government Science & Technology community.

This event provides a unique opportunity for OpenWorks to fine-tune Vision Guard’s capabilities, leveraging a variety of stimulus platforms to push the performance of AI integration within our products.

Vision Guard, known for its autonomous surveillance and multi-sensor system, is engineered for rapid deployment and real-time target classification.

With its lightweight, backpack-portable design and AI-powered detection capabilities, it ensures minimal operator interference and maximum situational awareness across a range of scenarios.

The CORE event will feature both daytime and nighttime UAS flight scenarios, allowing OpenWorks and other CUAS companies to rigorously test and enhance system performance in realistic conditions.

This continuous pursuit of performance advancement underlines OpenWorks’ commitment to improving its systems and staying at the forefront of defence innovation. OpenWorks believes open collaboration is a key part of ensuring our products remain the best they can be and we are looking forward to attending the event next week.
