OpenWorks is exhibiting a new portable autonomous multi-sensor detection and classification system at the SAE CUAS Conference on December 2nd-4th.
The capability of Vision Guard perfectly aligns with the conference focus day, dedicated to Mobile Deployable Counter UAS.
Vision Guard uses operationally proven technology from OpenWorks’ Autonomous Optical family of systems. It has been rapidly developed to meet the fast changing threats at home and on the battlefield.
The system has undergone private testing with a limited number of homeland security and military end users, and will be available for demonstration and evaluation in 2025, in passive and active configurations.
Vision Guard Acoustic
Vision Guard combines the latest state-of-the-art active and passive sensors, including compact solid-state 3D Radars and Directional Acoustic Listening Devices. The solution is highly man-portable due to its SWAP. The panoramic optical surveillance head complements the other surveillance devices to provide superior covert surveillance day or night. The system provides enhanced automated alerts with AI detection and classification.
Bradley Reece, one of OpenWorks Senior Software engineers said
“it’s been great to test the system recently with end users as it’s a critical part of our development process. It’s crucial that we listen to those who face the toughest challenges, and ensure our technology does what they need, not what we think they need”.
It can be configured with combinations of active and/or passive sensors to suit the mission. Detections and alerts are streamed out to a handheld tablet or other systems via the standard interface, SAPIENT, COT, ATAK etc.
