OpenWorks, together with our US partners Liteye, were invited to provide a SkyWall100 system for evaluation by the USMC at Quantico VA.
This followed the successful demonstrations at the NATO NNTEX event held in December 2018 at the same location. The purpose of this second event was to give basic training to a US Marine and evaluate the effectiveness of the Marine using the system.
After receiving only minimal training the Marine engaged and captured a number of drones, including static and fast moving targets at various ranges and altitude. The test clearly demonstrated that even with minimal training, the SkyWall100 system with its advanced targeting SmartScope is an effective counter-drone capability.
