OpenWorks began 2024 with a thrilling move to our new site, in Prudhoe, Northumberland. This custom-built facility presents a new era for OpenWorks – housing all our manufacturing, testing and business operations under one roof.
The move would not have been possible without the fantastic support from Advance Northumberland and their Small Business Grant Scheme. The project was part-funded by The North Of Tyne Combined Authority Investment Fund and by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Rural England Prosperity Fund with the North of Tyne Combined Authority as Lead Authority. This invaluable backing has allowed significant expansion for the company and we are now able to increase our output to meet customer demand.
While the seven years spent at our initial site in Stocksfield will always hold fond memories for OpenWorks and our development as a company. The business is firmly ready for its next evolution, and we have some extremely exciting projects to announce in the coming months.
Our office-based team has already made the move, and while the internal manufacturing fit is still ongoing, we hope to be firmly established by March 2024.
